AI Literacy Step-by-Step Approach
Organizations have to ensure that employees are AI-literate. The AI Act requires this. Pylets can help. We developed the following approach consisting of four phases:
Step 1: Identify
Map out which AI systems are being used within the organization.
Analyze the risks and impact of these systems.
Identify which employees work directly with AI and what their roles are.
Step 2: Define Objectives
Determine what AI knowledge and which tools are needed for each relevant employee.
Step 3: Implement
Decide on strategies and actions based on the defined objectives.
Train employees in AI literacy, with attention to ethical, legal, and technical aspects.
Optionally, appoint an AI officer and draft a vision document on the use of AI within the organization.
Step 4: Evaluate
Monitor whether AI literacy is being maintained and analyze whether the objectives are being met through reports and audits.
Assess whether the measures actually increase knowledge levels, for example, through annual surveys.
Ensure that AI literacy remains a continuous process and is embedded within the organization.
